Invite Students to a Website Delivery (Direct Delivery) Section (website access)

This article is for instructors who want to invite their students to enroll in their Direct Delivery course section that is not integrated with their LMS. This invitation is extended through an invitation link obtained through the course section.

Once the course is created, open registration and then generate the invitation link. Share this invitation link with your students along with the directions to create an account, enroll, and how to sign in again.
Warning
Do not add your students' enrollments using Add Enrollment as then the invitation link will not work.

1. From the Manage page, under Manage, go to Edit Section Details, under Direct Delivery: check Registration Open, Requires Enrollment, then Save.
You can confirm payment details and grace period on this page.
Warning
Make sure to check the top two checkboxes under Direct Delivery: Registration Open and Requires Enrollment.

2. Click the Manage tab at the top of the page to return to the Manage page.

3. On the Manage Page, under Manage, go to Invite Students and click One Day, One Week, Section Start, or Section End to generate an invitation link that expires after that chosen option. Use the Copy button to copy the invitation link.

Notes
The most common choice is Section End unless you prefer to limit the time to enroll. A new link can always be generated and provided at a later date.

4. Customize and provide the following directions to your students:

Enroll in the OLI Torus Course Materials
