Preview an Instructor View of the Course
This article describes how to preview course materials from an instructor view with answer keys on the pages.
Overview
This mode of preview is for instructors to see their course with all of the correct answers. This avoids instructors needing authoring access and having to click through logic trees, particularly in advanced authoring pages, in order to view to the correct answer. Think of it as OLI’s version of the “instructor guide” to a student’s workbook, with the answer key provided.
Preview opens the entire course preview in a new tab and can be navigated from page to page. Close the tab when finished to return to Manage course or leave the tab open to return later. Choosing the contents, Unit or Module, then opening a selected page opens the preview at that course location.
Preview Course from Overview Tab
From the Manage landing page, click the Overview tab at the top banner and see the Course Content sub-tab.
From Course Content, use the left and right arrows around the Curriculum title to move through the content.
To view an item, choose Open as Instructor.
Clicking a module title or opening a module moves to a module list, then using the left and right arrows moves through the modules.
Open as Instructor opens a preview of the course to that page in instructor-preview mode.
The page title has the text "(Preview Mode)" at the end and activities appear in instructor view with an Answer Key tab to view the correct answers.
From preview mode, use the arrows at the bottom of each page to move through the materials.
To return to Manage course mode, close the preview tab.
