Bulk Import Activities from CSV into the Activity Bank
Before you begin
Prepare a CSV file with one activity per row.
Use the attached sample CSV file as a guide. To download the sample file from Torus, open the Bulk Import Questions window from the Project (Create, Activity Bank, Create New, Import from CSV) and select Download Sample CSV.
Before importing, review Planning and Troubleshooting: Bulk Import Activities from CSV into the Activity Bank for important guidance on preparing the CSV. This is especially important for setting up learning objectives or tags, because those values need to be set up correctly before import so the activities can be selected later for use on course project pages.
Import activities from CSV
- From the project, select Create Activity Bank from the left menu.
- In the Activity Bank, select Create New and Bulk Import from CSV.
- In the Bulk Import Questions window, review the sample CSV format if needed.
- Select Browse to choose the prepared CSV file from your device.
- Select Upload CSV.
- Confirm that the activities were added to the Activity Bank.
If the activities do not import
If the activities do not load into the Activity Bank, there may be an issue with the CSV format or content.
Review the troubleshooting steps in Planning and Troubleshooting: Bulk Import Activities from CSV into the Activity Bank. Common issues include missing required fields, incorrect CSV formatting, missing brackets around learning objectives or tags, learning objectives or tags that do not already exist, or answer choices that include unsupported standalone values such as FALSE.
