Check Certificate Progress and Access Your Certificate
Some courses offer certificates. If your course includes a certificate, the Home view shows a Certificate Progress section under Course Progress where you can track your progress and access your certificate after you meet the requirements.
This article explains how to view the certificate requirements and progress, check scores for progress, view and print the certificate, access the permanent URL to the certificate, and add the certificate to LinkedIn. For further assistance, email oli-help@cmu.edu with any questions. View Certificate Requirements
- From the Home view, click View All Assignments.
OR - Click Assignments in the left navigation menu.
The Assignments view lists all scored pages in the course, including scores for any assignments you have submitted.
If your course includes a certificate, the certificate requirements appear at the top of the Assignments view. Assignments required for the certificate are marked with a red asterisk (*) to the left of the assignment title.

View Certificate Progress
From the Home view, find the Certificate Progress block in the lower-left area of the page under Course Progress. If there is no Certificate Progress, then your course does not generate a certificate.
This block shows how many requirements you have achieved.
Check Scores for Certificate Progress
From the Assignments page, review the score for each required assignment and the score required for the certificate.
To check whether an assignment meets the certificate requirement, calculate the percentage earned for that assignment:
points earned ÷ total points possible × 100
Scores are not rounded up for certificate achievement. For example, if the requirement is 70%, a score of 37/53, or 69.8%, does not meet the 70% requirement.

View and Print your Certificate
After you meet all certificate requirements, an Access My Certificate link appears under Certificate Progress on the Home view.
Click Access My Certificate to view and print your certificate. You may want to print to PDF if that is available from your browser to save a digital copy of the certificate.
This link is available only to you and while you can access your course materials. If you are not signed in or you no longer have access to the course, the certificate link will not be available. To access a permanent URL to your certificate that you can share with others, see the next section below. For help, contact
