Synchronizing Torus scores with your LMS gradebook

Synchronizing Torus scores with your LMS gradebook

Score synchronization is an automatic feature. Sometimes network traffic or network errors result in failed attempts to synchronize Torus scores with your LMS gradebook. If a score in Torus is different from the score in your LMS gradebook, you can force the synchronization of an entire assignment for all student scores, or for an individual student score.

Synchronize an entire assignment for all students

  1. On the course's Manage page, scroll down to Grading and click Manage LMS gradebook.

  2. In the Synchronize Grades section, select the assignment and click Synchronize Grades.
Important note: the Synchronize Grades function will overwrite any manually edited scores in your LMS gradebook. It's advised that you record a snapshot of your LMS gradebook before using Synchronize Grades, to preserve a record of your changes.

Synchronize one student's score on one assignment

  1. Navigate to the student's assignment score via one of two paths:
    1. Reports > Quiz Scores (tab) > Click on student's score
      OR
    2. Reports > Students (tab) > Quiz Scores (tab) > Click on student's score
  2. Click the Send to LMS button to synchronize just this score.
